Ken Rapuano is a member of the SAP NS2 Advisory Board. Ken has an in-depth understanding of the most significant security threats facing the Nation. He has perspectives on the most effective approaches to prioritizing challenges, framing objective outcomes, developing clear courses of action, coalescing buy-in of key stakeholders, and executing strategic plans to achieve results.
Ken is a Distinguished Research Fellow at National Defense University and an independent consultant and senior advisor to organizations seeking expertise and advice across a diverse range of national and global security issues. Ken has over 36 years of experience in the national defense and security fields, including service in the Marine Corps and senior executive positions in the defense industry, two FFRDCs, the Department of Energy, the White House, and the Department of Defense. Most recently, from 2017 to 2021, Ken served as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security.
Ken holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College, and a master’s degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.
