SAP NS2 announces general availability for SAP HANA Cloud within a U.S.-based, ITAR controlled cloud environment

SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2®), a U.S.-based, independent subsidiary of SAP, today announced the general availability (GA) of SAP HANA Cloud for their regulated customers within the U.S. SAP HANA Cloud is SAP’s trusted database-as-a-service (DBaaS) built to modernize applications across the customer enterprise.

As the cloud-native data foundation for SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP HANA Cloud delivers data-driven applications to enable data integration, storage, and management. It connects with SAP BTP services, as well as external systems and solutions, to promote stronger data management.

With this release, SAP NS2 customers can leverage SAP HANA Cloud to store, unify, and process their data in real time within a fully managed cloud environment. SAP NS2 delivers SAP HANA Cloud in a U.S.-based cloud environment, utilizes government authorized cloud infrastructure, and ensures all operations comply to NIST 800-53 moderate baseline. This all-encompassing protection model allows highly regulated entities, defense departments, and government agencies to benefit from SAP’s intelligent data applications while remaining compliant with U.S. cloud security standards.

“In today’s landscape, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to manage and maintain data platforms.” said Arvind Gidwani, CTO, SAP NS2. “The delivery of SAP HANA Cloud will support our customers at a foundational data layer. It marks a major milestone in our mission to help organizations become more agile and resilient by unifying their mission-critical data with real-time access and deep insights.”

Customers can tackle their greatest data challenges with the proven performance and reliability of SAP HANA and with the flexibility, scalability, and efficiency of the cloud.

Key benefits of SAP HANA Cloud:

  • Reduction in cost and complexity: SAP NS2 delivers a fully managed, cloud-native database to eliminate infrastructure, operational, and maintenance costs
  • Integrated data lake: Data Lake is technically integrated into the customer database, creating cost-efficient, large-scale data storage and processing engines
  • Data tiering and multi-model: Store all types of business data in a multi-tiered architecture to provide the best TCO
  • Integration with SAP BTP: Functional and commercial integration through the cloud platform
  • Developer experience: Cloud-native pro-code and low-code application development environments through SAP Business Application Studio and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model
  • Elastic cloud service: Dynamically scalable database platform that handles fluctuating load patterns

SAP HANA Cloud empowers the U.S. public sector and highly regulated entities to break down data silos, streamline access to dispersed data, and accelerate innovation across hybrid and multi-cloud landscapes. For more information on how to start your modernization journey, visit: www.sapns2.com
