The next big thing for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) is in the works, and we’re excited to share the news. In partnership with Google Cloud, SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2®) will be launching International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance for SAP Cloud ERP Private on Google Cloud using Assured Workloads. The build expands upon the existing ITAR-compliant portfolio of SAP solutions available via SAP NS2 on Google Cloud.
This achievement will open doors for our U.S. DIB customer base, as it provides the newfound opportunity to implement SAP Cloud ERP Private on Google Cloud infrastructure with ITAR controls. Regulated industries can adopt this pathway to address business missions with SAP solutions and remain compliant based on their industry needs.

Google Cloud’s Assured Workloads provides a control framework that enables customers to meet multiple compliance and regulatory requirements, such as FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, CJIS, and ITAR, while running on top of commercial cloud infrastructure. This gives SAP customers compliant cloud services with a clearly defined perimeter security model to encompass their regulated cloud needs.

The current build, delivering SAP Cloud ERP Private within an ITAR compliant boundary in Google Cloud’s Assured Workloads, offers customers several key benefits, including:
